‘The Core” is my painting I did after 20+ years of touching a brush.
Staying home during COVID was an awakening time for many. I felt the urge to do a painting. The last time I did a painting was 20 years ago- for my wedding – I gave paintings as my gift to the bridegroom. I started it like an experiment with a cheap canvas. But it became like a deep journey into my life. I completed it in 2023. But the interesting part about it- whatever I drew, the meaning is evolving. There are two parts in it- outside part I am doing with Core of a Leader, and the inner part of it – I am continuing here.
The painting, ‘The Core’ represents our life. There is a world which gives us light/energy, and a world of our wants which gives disappointments and pain. The center of it is – our core, where the God lives. When our soul unites with that spirit of God, it gives us inner joy and freedom. It is called ‘Inner Man’ in catholic faith.
Ephesians 3:16: ” that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being.”
I am a cradle catholic, and this painting opened up my world to deep into the journey of faith. I have deep faith, but I was not open about it till now -in 2026. I thought it is very personal, but I feel like I have to share my inner joy and freedom to someone who wants to explore.
